 Requirements

Installation Support


+ Un-install any previous version before installing a new version.

+ You must have at least "Administrator" or "Power User" privilege to install BHR in to    an XP/2000/2003  System.   

+ During the installation the BHR installer will associate .bin file extension to open with    Windows Notepad. So if any program that monitors for File Type changes in the    background it will notify you of the change. So It is highly recommended that you    accept or allow the change.

Language Support

The only language that BHR have been well tested is English. So please undestand that no gurantee for the support of other languages of Windows.

Un-installation support

BHR can be un-install using the Start menu Shortcut. prior to the Un-install, BHR must be terminated using one of the following ways.

Method 1 - Right click BHR System Tray Icon and click 'Exit Browser Hijack Retaliator'.

Method 2 - Open Task manager ( Press ALT + CTRL + DEL ), Click 'Process' Tab in the Task Manager, Select 'BHR.exe', click 'End Process' Button.
After following one of the above methods you can start the un-installer.

Trouble Shooting

Problem : Error message "Unable to get a handle on file".

Solution :

This is a problem related to the hosts file.
The hosts file in your computer has missing before BHR's Installation.

First you can download a fresh copy of the windows Host file from BHR website.
Download hosts file for   9x/Me   NT/2K/XP  (Right click-> 'Copy Shortcut'-> past in to your default download managers 'add download' .
    
Then follow the below steps to install the new hosts file.

Exit Browser Hijack Retaliator.
Extract hosts.zip file to your desktop
Copy the extracted Host file by righclick and selecting copy.
Type " Drivers " in the " Run " Dialog box.
Now the folder Drivers will be opened .
Now open "etc" folder under that.
past it in to the " etc " Folder (currently opend).

Now run BHR again using your Desktop / Startmenu shotcut.
